In the previous article, we’ve seen step by step guide to install WordPress. In this article, we’ll see how to uninstall WordPress.
There can be many reasons to remove or uninstall wordpress. You may don’t want to continue with your existing domain name or you’re just shifting to some other domain name or you’ve installed a separate wordpress installation just for testing purpose.
Whatever the reason is, uninstalling WordPress is more easier than installaing it.
First, make sure you’ve all sufficient backups of your WordPress files and database. You won’t be able to undo the uninstall process.
First login to your control panel and click on WordPress icon under Softaculous Apps Installer.
You’ll see list of WordPress installation under your domain account.
Now, click on “X” button of WordPress link, which you want to remove.
The next screen will display your WordPress path, database name, username and other details to confirm your action.
Click on Remove Installation button as shown above. It will uninstall WordPress in few seconds.
